This report evaluates the effectiveness of four repair methods selected by PRCI members in repairing hard spot features. This is completed by performing finite element analysis (FEA) for each repair method and comparing them to an unrepaired hard spot. This analysis compares the tensile hoop stresses within the hard spot which may result in crack formation, as well as the stress intensities after a crack initiates at various lengths.
