This project evaluates the use of composite materials for reinforcing corroded subsea pipelines. All repair work was done underwater and pipe samples were pressurized during the duration of testing. After the designated hold period of 10,000 hours (approximately 420 days), the samples were removed from service and subjected to destructive testing involving different combinations of internal pressure, axial tension, and bending. The study involved the participation of four composite repair manufacturers including Air Logistics, Armor Plate, Inc. Neptune Research, Inc., and Walker Technical Resources....
