Summary results from a PRCI research project on the effect of sample probe insertion depth was featured in the Pipeline & Gas Journal. The research concluded that sample probes are more effective when they extend beyond the outer boundary layer of the pipe but much shorter than the center 1/3 of the pipe as commonly required by most standards. The results were also presented in a webinar.
