This document reviews prevailing gaps found among typical energy sector trenchless construction methods (i.e., relatively small diameter, steel pressure pipe applications). This document also provides high-level guidance for selecting prospective trenchless installation methods. The target audience for this document are energy owner companies, design engineers, and project planners. It should be noted that consideration is limited to new construction trenchless methods. Methodologies associated with rehabilitation or renewal practices are not addressed.
