This report in the first in a series that has the intent of transferring PRCI research results into relevant industry standards.  The MAT-8 fracture model is a state-of-the-art approach for predicting burst pressure in pipe joints with longitudinal cracks and crack-like flaws. It is suitable for inclusion in the API/ASME fitness-for-service (FFS) standard.
