During the PRCI Board of Directors meeting in Miami on March 9, 2009, Don Santa, President & CEO of the Interstate Natural Gas Association (INGAA) made a presentation as part of the long-term planning phase of the meeting. Speaking on The Long-term Challenges for the Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Industry, Don focused on the range of issues related to carbon capture, transportation, and storage that will have Substantial economic and operating impacts on the industry. Don's presentation drew heavily on a recent INGAA Foundation study, Developing a Pipeline Infrastructure for CO2 Capture and Storage: Issues and Challenges. Both the presentation and the study are available via the members area of our website, PRIME, and the paper is available on the INGAA website. This presentation is an annual feature of the March Board meeting, and plays a vital role in the members' consideration of the challenges that the industry will face in the years beyond the upcoming program year.
