The Compressor and Pump Station Technical Committee has a project underway to enhance ambient emission modeling for nitrous dioxide. Recent changes requirements by the FERC and local air enforcement agencies have made permitting new or modified facilities more difficult. This project is being executed in conjunction with INGAA, API and others as a joint effort. A host site has been selected and a meteorological station is being installed. The project team and the contractor met with the EPA to review the proposed research plan. The EPA made some recommendations on eliminating some tests and adding additional site monitors for NO2. The next steps include developing parametric emission models and data gathering/communications equipment. For more information, contact Gary Choquette.
