The year four effort will complete the work under NDE 2-1 on surface breaking crack depth estimation, including an added focus on tight OD surface initiated cracks and internal diameter (ID) initiated crack detection and depth estimation from outside the pipeline. This includes discreet cracks, as well as Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) clusters in carbon steels as well as in a selected non-ferrous material.
