On April 1, 2014, Eric Thomas retired from PRCI. He has been involved in pipeline industry research for over 30 years, which includes participating in organizations such as the Gas Technology Institute (GTI), the Institute of Gas Technology (IGT), and the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) Foundation. He also served as Chairman of the Board for both PRCI and GMRC. For ten years, he served as the industry appointee to the Technical Pipeline Safety Standard Committee (TPSSC), the federal advisory committee that provides peer reviews of all proposed pipeline safety rules to assure technical feasibility, reasonableness, cost-effectiveness and practicability.
During his years of service to PRCI he has been active in a number of positions within the organization from Technical Committee member to Board Member to Audit & Finance Committee Chair to PRCI Chief Operations Officer. He had a front row seat as PRCI evolved from a committee within the American Gas Association to an independent nonprofit technical association to the addition of the liquid operators. Eric commented that "PRCI will always be my family and I am pleased that I had the opportunity to serve the industry that has given me so much."
PRCI members and staff would like to thank Eric for all that he has done for the industry and PRCI. We wish him Rhonda all the best in their future endeavors.
