PRCI is presenting the 2012 project developments at the 2013 API Pipeline Conference as part of a panel scheduled during the Control Room Session; this panel includes PRCI, pipeline operators, and PHMSA on the panel to provide a broad perspective on Control Room Management issues. The PRCI project will establish an industry baseline that can be referenced by pipeline operators when developing their company-specific workloads for control room personnel. This baseline will provide a set of reference data that the industry can use to assess their internal Control Room Management programs.
The second phase of the project is set to start and will re-evaluate questions based on CRM audits to evaluate year-to-year trended improvements made by participants. We are continuing to develop an online database with the intention of instituting a baseline workload for control room operators. Participation is still open to all operators, including those outside of PRCI membership.
