One of the great benefits of PRCI is access to world renowned leaders in the energy pipeline industry. Every two years PRCI and its tripartite R&D partners, the European Pipeline Research Group (EPRG) and the Australian Pipeline Industry Association’s Research and Standards Committee (APIA-RSC), host the Joint Technical Meeting (JTM), held this year in Sydney, Australia from April 29th – May 3rd and hosted by the APIA-RSC together with the Energy Pipelines Cooperative Research Centre (EPCRC). This meeting is a world‐class forum where representatives have the opportunity to learn about the latest pipeline research to address safety and integrity being conducted globally.
The JTM will feature 36 papers that represent the very latest and best research being done through the cooperative programs of PRCI, EPRG and APIA. The JTM session themes will be:
The program agenda includes a substantial amount of time for open discussion and dialogue among the attendees following technical paper presentations, with the goal of engaging the world’s leading subject matter experts in pipeline manufacturing, construction, and operations in spirited discussions on the state of the industry and the path forward. In addition to the presentation of papers to showcase the latest research activities and the application to pipeline design, construction and operation, the program will include workshop sessions designed to identify what areas are of most importance to the pipeline community and should be a focus for future research.
PRCI membership has shown strong support for the JTM, with over 40 delegates currently registered to attend the JTM that are representing PRCI’s member companies and research contractors.
Registration for the JTM closes on April 15 so we encourage members to register immediately if you have not done so yet. Please contact Mark Piazza, Director of Pipeline Programs, with any questions regarding the meeting agenda and content, registration, or other logistics related to the JTM.
