Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. (PRCI) is pleased to announce to our members, the members of the European Pipeline Research Group (EPRG), and the members of the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) the 18th Biennial Joint Technical Meeting on Pipeline Research. This world-class forum reflects one of the most significant collaborations in pipeline research formed by the tripartite partnership of PRCI, EPRG, and APIA who together have members operating on five continents. The Joint Technical Meeting (JTM) is a unique opportunity to collaboratively demonstrate pipeline research excellence and to address the challenges confronting the pipeline industry at a global level. The meeting will take place at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel in the awe-inspiring historic city of San Francisco, California. Renowned for its cultural diversity, eclectic mix of Victorian and modern architecture, and its famous landmarks, San Francisco is one of the top destinations for travelers worldwide. The meeting will include a series of technical paper presentations and workshops. The interactive workshops will be arranged in parallel tracks which are organized by research programs areas and technical disciplines, the primary focus of which will be to discuss and establish common research needs, identify opportunities for collaboration, and generate action plans for future research among the three organizations. Social events and a guest/partner program will also be offered.
Papers on pipeline research from PRCI, APIA, EPRG and their member companies addressing topics under design, materials, construction and pipeline integrity management are welcome. Separate calls for papers will be distributed by each organization to its membership in the coming weeks. Detailed information about meeting and hotel registration will follow in early 2011.
