It is with deep sadness that we have learned we lost a dear friend and valued colleague. Former PRCI Chairman and longtime industry research champion, Winston A. Johnson II, passed away on November 3, 2016. During his 32-year career with El Paso Energy and serving as PRCI Board Chair for 4 years, Winston was a strong supporter of PRC (the predecessor to PRCI), then PRCI, and was instrumental in helping to bring the oil pipeline industry into our organization and truly establish PRCI as the preeminent energy pipeline global collaborative R&D organization. After his retirement from El Paso, Winston remained active with employing technology for aerial right-of-way monitoring, and as a proponent for ongoing pipeline technology development. Our sincere condolences go out to Winston’s wife, Vivian, and his family.
