Two New Companion Training Courses Expand Upon the Pipeline Repair Manual

Wed, January 17, 2024

NEXT DATES ANNOUNCED FOR IN-PERSON TRAINING:
OCTOBER 08 & 09, 2024

PRCI is expanding upon the Pipeline Repair Manual with two new companion training courses that are now available.

The Pipeline Repair Manual (PRM) is one of PRCI’s most popular downloads and collates state-of-the-art pipeline repair methods compiled by industry leading experts. It provides guidance to pipeline operators in:

  • Selecting an appropriate repair technique for a type of defect or combination of defects
  • Improving pipeline repair procedures and repair manuals
  • Training or qualifying engineering and maintenance personnel

Building on this manual, the two new offerings are:

Fundamentals of Pipeline Repair [On-line, On-Demand]

Fundamentals of Pipeline Repair is an online training module available on-demand. It will enable practitioners to understand and apply the content within the manual by clearly illustrating standard repair processes as captured in the manual while reinforcing content through basic case studies.

This training is recommended as an introduction to the Practical Pipeline Repair Training listed below. Work through this online course at your own pace. View the Fundamentals of Pipeline Repair course outline.

Price: $70 for members and $150 for non-members. A view-only version of the Pipeline Repair Manual will be available during the course.

Practical Pipeline Repair [In-Person]

Practical Pipeline Repair leverages PRCI’s extensive inventory of pipeline defects as a basis for case studies that explore standard and non-routine repair situations. Facilitated by an instructor who is a subject matter expert (SME), this course uses guided and interactive group learning to enrich experience, deepen understanding, reinforce best practices, and demonstrate repair types at the PRCI Technology Development Center (TDC).

The Fundamentals of Pipeline Repair training listed above (or its equivalent) is recommended as an introduction to this course. View the Practical Pipeline Repair course outline.

Price: $700 for members and $1,050 for non-members (additional discounts below) . A view-only version of the Pipeline Repair Manual will be available during the course.
