November 13, 2017 —

As part of its knowledge transfrer efforts, PRCI recently presented research results at the 2017 Gas Machinery Conference (GMC) last month in Pittsburgh. Hosted by the Gas Machinery Research Council (GMRC), the GMC is one of the industry’s premier conferences, offering leading edge technical training and educational presentations designed to equip you with the skills you need to be successful in your own operations, while connecting you to other motivated professionals and service providers from across the country and world. The educational sessions and networking opportunities are valuable for design engineers, facility engineers, and technicians with an emphasis on the operation, maintenance, and testing of gas compression machinery. The conference included a wide range of short courses, technical papers, and technology updates, all presented by some of the leading subject matter experts in the industry.

Information presented by PRCI included:

  • Short courses

    • Diagnostics for Reciprocating Engines/Compressors

    • Trapped Equivalence Ratio for Air Fuel Ratio Control

  • Papers

    • Effects of Modeling the Kinematics of an Articulated Connecting Rod to Match In-Cylinder Compression Pressures and Port Timings

    • Gas Turbines: Emissions, Combustion and Fuels

    • Field Demonstration of Improved DLE Gas Turbine Control Algorithm to Reduce Part Load Emissions for Less Restrictive Load Following

    • PRCI Research Updates
