This course introduces learners to the second stage of the pipeline lifecycle: planning. The course covers key topic areas, including the role of planning within the pipeline lifecycle and the three interrelated areas of work within the planning stage (routing, regulatory review and approvals process in jurisdictions with a stable regulatory regime and moderate level of regulatory oversight, and construction planning). Self-assessments are used to reinforce key concepts, and a final graded assessment evaluates the learner's understanding of the material. The online course format allows individuals to review and reinforce the material at their own pace. What sets this course apart is that it equips learners with a basic understanding of the planning stage of the pipeline lifecycle and its potential to significantly impact other stages, which is foundational for further learning in the pipeline industry.
