The task force on Enhanced Project Execution, working at the direction of the Executive Committee, will present its recommendations to the Committee in August. Following the Committee’s review, the recommendations will be presented to the Board at the meeting in Banff on September 15th and will be implemented following the meeting. The recommendations are based on the work conducted by the task force since the March Board meeting, and are based on the following findings of the task force, and endorsed by the Executive Committee following the review and comments of Technical Committee leadership:
Implementation of the recommendations is expected to achieve three critical goals of the project execution initiative: a reduction in the time required for project execution, particularly at the start-up and final report stages; a set of clear process and role protocols and standards; and a shared understanding of expectations among the Board, technical leadership, and Staff. Please contact Eric Thomas or George Tenley for further information on the status of the initiative.
