The International Pipe Line and Offshore Contractors Association (IPLOCA) Annual Meeting George Tenley, PRCI President, recently attended the IPLOCA Annual Meeting in September in Athens, Greece. In addition to making a presentation on collaborative research, George also initiated a joint effort with ITF linking their novel construction program with a new PRCI project on modernizing construction. This joint effort will produce a much-needed roadmap for the development and implementation of new construction techniques, practices, and technologies designed to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental performance.

Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF) Annual Meeting ITF is an organization whose objectives are to identify technology needs, foster innovation and facilitate the development and implementation of new technologies. ITF and PRCI have recently begun exploring a potential collaborative relationship for shared research planning, execution, and where appropriate, project funding. This past October, George Tenley was invited to attend ITF's annual meeting in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Pipeline Leak Detection & Monitoring Conference PRCI Chief Operating Officer, Eric Thomas, was invited to give a keynote presentation at the Pipeline Leak Detection and Monitoring Conference on October 29, 2008 in Houston, TX. This conference was conducted by Pipeline and Gas Technology magazine and was well attended, with several member companies represented. Eric introduced PRCI and how leak detection and monitoring fit into the overall research agenda. Jerry Rau of Pipeline Member Panhandle, gave a follow up presentation on the PRCI RAM program.
