17th Biennial EPRG-PRCI-APIA Joint Technical Meeting on Pipeline Research

The European Pipeline Research Group (EPRG), PRCI, and the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (APIA) will be conducting the 17th Biennial Joint Technical Meeting on Pipeline Research on May 11-15, 2009. The JTM will be held in Milan, Italy at the Starhotel Rosa in downtown Milan.

The meeting will have two major components: technical presentations on key pipeline research topics and a series of workshops. The workshops will allow research requirements to be discussed in more detail and future joint activities planned to address them. The workshop objectives are:

Develop a consensus on technical gaps & challenges for future R&D
Identify long-term and short-term global research objectives for both liquid and gas pipelines, on-shore and off-shore.
Review the technical gaps and determine whether current research will address them effectively.
Determine how PRCI, EPRG and APIA can collaborate to address both the gaps and future R&D challenges.

The meeting is open only to members of the three organizations and invited guests and contractors, and the proceedings of the three-day meeting are available only to members.
