Join the PRCI Integrity and Inspection Technical Committee as they present research results related to the early detection and mitigation of hard spots. The issue of early detection of hard spots and the related verification and validation of applicable technologies was the primary focus of PRCI project NDE 4-11. Phase II of the project focused on the statistical evaluation and performance assessment of emerging hard spot detection technologies and will be discussed during this webinar.

Webinar attendees will receive: 1. A summary of the working principals of current NDE for detection and discrimination of hard sports that are very thin (less than 0.5mm) on surface of TMCP plates used for pipelines. 2. Understanding of the limitations and strengths of the currently available hard spot detection technologies. 3. Guidance on how operators can select the right technology for detection of such hard spots and prevention of failures in new pipelines.
