PRCI welcomed the Young Pipeline Professionals USA (YPP USA) for a visit to the new Technology Development Center in mid-July. YPP USA is an organization aimed to educate young professionals about the pipeline industry, create leadership opportunities, foster relationships and build a network for the betterment of the industry. During their visit PRCI presented background information about the organization, our current Research Portfolio and plans for the new Technology Development Center. YPP USA also learned about the history and fundamentals of Non-Destructive Examination techniques from long-time PRCI member and industry expert, John O’Brien with Chevron ETC. The visit concluded with a tour of the TDC and pull-test facility. We look forward to continuing a relationship with YPP USA and coordinating future opportunities for their involvement in PRCI and with our community of research, technical and operations experts.
