Tue, September 04, 2018

Runtime: 44 minutes - click the registration link below to view the webinar recording.

DATE: Tuesday, September 19, 2018
TIME: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET

HOST: Mr. Jonathan Goss, Kinder Morgan
PRESENTER: Mr. Daniel Olsen, PhD, PE, Colorado State University
MODERATOR: Mr. Gary Choquette, PE, PRCI

Join the PRCI Compressor & Pump Station Technical Committee as they present research results examining the degradation of an oxidation catalyst on a Cooper-Bessemer GMVH 12C2 gas engine.

The purpose of this study was to detmine the degradation profile of oxidation catalysts installed on two-stroke cycle lean-burn engines. Catalyst poisoning mechanisms were evaluated. In addition, various methods were evaluated to rejuvenate the catalyst performance.

Expected Benefits/Learning Outcomes:

  • An Understanding of how oxidation catalyst performance degrades over time
  • The underlying causes of catalyst degradation
  • The effectiveness of catalyst washing techniques on catalyst life extension

Who should attend?

  • Field operations and engine maintenance personnel
  • Emissions specialists
  • Operations management
