The purpose of this research is to validate existing surface loading stress calculation methods and the key input parameters used to establish a degree of conservatism. This will enable greater confidence in recommendations based on the stress calculations and the type of load and soil. The results of the research allow for options in the interpretation of data for determining the proper mitigative activity during the construction of the pipeline.
