Catalog No:
NG-18-09-R01

Special laboratory steels representative of existing and new line-pipe steels have been made up in the Battelle laboratories with systematically varied chemistry, rolling temperatures, amount of cold work, etc., in order to investigate the effects of each variable on the strength and fracture properties. In determining the influence of each of the various factors, emphasis is placed on methods of economically improving the performance characteristics of pipe. The program is continuing; this report presents the results to date.
