Join the PRCI Design, Materials, & Construction Technical Committee as they present research data related to post-heating as an alternative to delayed NDE.
Presenter: Melissa Gould, DNV Host: Russell Scoles, Enbridge Moderator: Tom Marlow, PRCI
Learning Outcomes/Benefits from Attending this Webinar:
• Post-heating can be used as a proactive approach to allow hydrogen to diffuse out of a weld, before crack initiation, to reduce the probability of hydrogen cracking.
• MAT-1-6 showed that not only is the use of post-heating an acceptable equivalent to delayed nondestructive evaluation (NDE), but it is actually a more practical and superior approach.
• The use of post-heating as an alternative to delayed NDE will reduce delays, decrease cost, and increase safety.
