PRCI WEBINAR: Sandia National Laboratories/PRCI - Investigation of the Structural Implications of Hydrogen in Natural Gas Infrastructure

Fri, March 19, 2021

PRCI and Sandia National Laboratories share information about Hydrogen Materials Compatibility Consortium (H-Mat) and the HyBlend Collaborative Research Partnership.

Presenters:  Chris San Marchi, Sandia National Laboratories
                      Joe Ronevich, Sadia National Laboratories
Remi Dingreville, Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT)
                      Mike Starr, Sandia National Laboratories
Katherine Jungjohann, Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT)

Moderator:  Gary Choquette, PRCI

This webinar introduces the listener to Hydrogen Materials Compatibility Consortium (H-Mat) and the HyBlend Collaborative Research Partnership. HyBlend, in particular, seeks to provide scientific basis for assessing and characterizing gaseous hydrogen embrittlement of natural gas infrastructure. The webinar provides an overview of the state of knowledge of hydrogen-assisted fatigue and fracture of steels used in natural gas infrastructure. Additionally, plans are presented for the development of a tool for integrating elements of deterministic and probabilistic fracture to assess the structural integrity of materials.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about viewing a recording of the webinar.
