Join the PRCI Corrosion Technical Committee as they present a subject matter expert review of past PRCI and PHMSA external stress corrosion cracking (SCC) studies.
This review builds on an earlier review of external SCC and extends that work to include subsequently published studies in the areas of SCC direct assessment (SCC-DA); susceptibility assessment; sensor development; mitigation and repair; and the development of in-line inspection technologies for SCC.
The report also includes a gap analysis and an updated roadmap for future studies.
Please note, this review is limited to external SCC; therefore, cracking due to the transportation of ethanol or sour service is excluded.
During the session attendees will:
* Receive a summary of past results of PRCI and PHMSA SCC studies, which will serve as a resource for corrosion and integrity management personnel.
* Learn of gaps identified in the current research and its understanding of SCC
* Future road-mapping exercises
Who should attend?
* Pipeline corrosion personnel
* Pipeline integrity management personnel
