PRCI, in partnership with Young Pipeliners Association of Canada (YPAC) and Young Pipeline Professionals USA (YPP USA), is pleased to announce that applications for the 2018-19 Emerging Leaders in Technical Excellence Program for Young Professionals are now being accepted!
The program was developed to engage the next generation of technical leaders in an effort to facilitate knowledge transfer, and feature high-potential young professionals that may aid in succession planning for PRCI technical committees. Participation in PRCI is an excellent opportunity for young professionals to learn more about the industry, gain exposure to leading-edge research, and to build a network of some of the brightest and most experienced professionals in the industry. Attendance at the meetings also qualifies for Professional Development Hours toward Professional Engineer and Continuing Education programs. We encourage you to forward this message on to young professionals in your organizations.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in technical committee meetings, related to his/her technical experience, for a period of 1 year, and will be assigned a mentor. Selected mentees will also receive funding for travel to the meetings.
If the term is successful, PRCI may provide a letter of recommendation to the applicant’s employer to continue involvement on the technical committee.
Please see below for criteria, and documentation required:
Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, either through academic research, through employment in the pipeline industry, or a combination thereof.
All applicants must be currently employed at a PRCI member company.
One letter of reference (max 250 words) shall be provided by a member of a technical committee that is also employed at the same PRCI member company as the applicant.
