Under this program, a prototype ring laser instrument was designed, constructed, and tested to measure the mass flow rate of natural gas under a variety of flow conditions. Mass flow tests, an investigation of the effects of pressure pulsation, and the ring laser’s response to gas flow under these conditions were included in the test program.
