PRCI Response to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Upcoming Meetings

Tue, March 17, 2020

PRCI is continuously monitoring the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation to ensure the safety of our members, staff, and colleagues. We will be following all recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as the situation progresses.

Effective immediately, we have put in place a Travel Awareness Policy to suspend all non-essential business travel by PRCI staff.

Future Meetings

At this time, all meetings planned through April, will be conducted virtually.  This includes the following Technical Committee Meetings, and any additional Project Team meetings or other in-person meetings that have been planned:

  • April 2, 2020 – Spring 2020 Subsea Technical Committee Meeting
  • April 29, 2020 – Spring 2020 Underground Storage Technical Committee Meeting

We are currently evaluating options to potentially conduct our June meetings completely virtually, but in the meantime, we will continue to monitor how the Coronavirus situation progresses and make a decision by mid-April as to whether we will hold them in-person or not.  We appreciate your patience.

  • June 2-4, 2020 – Spring 2020 Compressor & Pump Station Technical Committee Meeting (currently planned to be held in Calgary)
  • June 9-11, 2020 – Spring 2020 Joint Meeting of the Pipeline and Measurement Technical Committees (currently planned to be held in Denver)
  • June 24-25, 2020 – Executive Board Meeting (currently planned to be held in Calgary)

Basic Protective Health Measures

As a reminder and at the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO), we do encourage that you exercise basic protective measures for your protection against the virus for your own safety and the safety of others.
